New Phoenix Theater doesn’t have public men’s & women’s bathrooms. Just gender-neutral ones

As the Phoenix Theatre builds a new chapter for itself at Illinois and Walnut streets, it’s also divorcing gender identity from bathroom choice. The theater is among the first to have multi-stall, gender-neutral bathrooms approved for a new building in Indiana, according to Ed Rensink, who wrote the variance that was approved by the state. Ten stalls with full-size doors will mean one line to use the restroom. Of the 10, one is for families and another is ADA compliant, producing director Bryan Fonseca said. Future Of Quincy Veterans Home Still Uncertain

In his State of the State address Wednesday, Governor Bruce Rauner gave two options: replace the home’s plumbing or get a new facility.  But it’s unclear if a new facility would mean rebuilding or simply moving the residents to a different location.
