As the Phoenix Theatre builds a new chapter for itself at Illinois and Walnut streets, it’s also divorcing gender identity from bathroom choice. The theater is among the first to have multi-stall, gender-neutral bathrooms approved for a new building in Indiana, according to Ed Rensink, who wrote the variance that was approved by the state. Future Of Quincy Veterans Home Still Uncertain

In his State of the State address Wednesday, Governor Bruce Rauner gave two options: replace the home’s plumbing or get a new facility.  But it’s unclear if a new facility would mean rebuilding or simply moving the residents to a different location.
